These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the relationship between WS & Salinero Ltd. (the Service Provider) and anyone who enquires about or buys a puppy from us (the Customer). They apply from the moment you send us an enquiry or a reservation request.

These terms are general. The binding terms of your individual purchase are set out in your written confirmation and in the Puppy Sale Agreement signed at handover. Where those documents differ from this page, they prevail.

2. Enquiries and the availability list

An enquiry — including joining our availability list — is a request for information. It does not reserve a puppy and places no obligation on either side. No price or arrival date is confirmed until a specific puppy has been identified.

3. Reservation

Once you have chosen a puppy, we send you a written confirmation setting out the puppy’s details, the total price, the deposit, what is included and the expected arrival period.

The reservation becomes final only once the deposit has been received and we have confirmed it in writing. We issue a receipt for the deposit. Until then the puppy is not held and may be reserved by someone else.

4. Price and payment

The price of your puppy is the one stated in your written confirmation. The deposit is typically between €300 and €500 depending on the puppy; the exact amount and the payment details are confirmed individually. The balance is payable at handover unless we agree otherwise in writing, and a final invoice is issued when the purchase is completed.

Anything not listed in your written confirmation is not included in the price.

5. Timing

The arrival period given in your written confirmation is an estimate, not a fixed date. It depends on veterinary schedules, official inspections and travel arrangements.

Under EU rules a puppy cannot be vaccinated against rabies before twelve weeks of age and may travel twenty-one days after that vaccination. A puppy therefore reaches you at around fifteen weeks of age at the earliest. If the expected period changes, we tell you as soon as we know.

6. Breed and pedigree

Puppies described as purebred are born from parents of the same breed. Unless your written confirmation states otherwise, they do not come with pedigree papers and are not sold as officially pedigree-registered dogs. An EU pet passport is not a pedigree certificate: the passport records identification and health, while a pedigree documents ancestry.

If you need a puppy with an officially recognised pedigree, tell us before reserving. The price and conditions may be different.

7. Veterinary preparation and documents

Before travelling, every puppy is identified with a microchip, receives the vaccinations and anti-parasite treatment appropriate to its age, and is examined by our own veterinarian. Within 48 hours of departure an authorised veterinarian carries out an official identity and clinical examination and confirms that the puppy shows no clinical signs of disease and is fit for the journey. The movement is registered in the EU TRACES animal health system.

Each puppy travels with its own EU pet passport, which is handed to you together with the puppy.

8. Transport

We organise the journey to Cyprus. The puppy travels in the care of an attendant holding a certificate of competence issued under EU Regulation 1/2005 on the protection of animals during transport. Transport onward from the handover point is arranged separately on request.

9. Handover

We contact you before the arrival to arrange the handover. At handover you may meet and inspect the puppy and review its EU pet passport before completing the purchase. We sign the Puppy Sale Agreement, you pay any outstanding balance, and you receive the puppy, its EU pet passport, the signed agreement, the final invoice and a puppy care guide.

10. Cancellation and changes

The conditions for cancelling or changing a reservation, including how the deposit is treated, are set out in your written confirmation and in the Puppy Sale Agreement.

If a puppy becomes unavailable, or an authorised veterinarian finds it unfit to travel, we tell you as soon as we know and agree with you either a suitable alternative or the return of amounts you have paid for that puppy.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the law of the Republic of Cyprus and of the European Union.

11. After your puppy arrives

You are welcome to contact us with questions as your puppy settles in. The care guide handed over with the puppy covers feeding, everyday care and the first days at home. From handover, day-to-day care, veterinary treatment and any registration required in Cyprus are your responsibility.

12. Website content

Photographs and descriptions on this website show our puppies and the breeds we work with as accurately as we can. A photograph of a litter is not a guarantee that a particular puppy in the picture is still available. Breed descriptions are general information about the breed and not a promise about an individual dog’s character or adult appearance.

13. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at info@salinero.cy — most matters are settled that way. As a consumer you may also contact the Consumer Protection Service of the Cyprus Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here at the time of your reservation applies to that purchase.
